Ingredients
Egg-Free Bread mix
50 ml of oil (sunflower, canola, olive)
10 ml apple cider vinegar
375 ml milk (almond, soy, grain, cow, etc)
22 ml maple syrup or honey
Directions
1Follow the directions for making a single loaf in the stand mixer, to the point where the dough is ready to form.
2Prepare a cookie sheet, lined with parchment paper (available in our store).
3Use an ice cream scoop to form a round shape, for example, using the number 11 scoop, 5 scoopfuls are placed in a mound.
4Next, using a spatula, dipped in water, smooth the round (see our miche instructional video).
5Place in a warm, location (an oven with the light on is ideal) and let rise for 30-40 minutes, or until small holes begin to appear on the surface.
6At this point, for added pizzaz, you can powder the top with a little potato starch or fine rice flour, using a fine mesh strainer.
7Preheat the oven to 350 F and place the loaf on a middle rack for 20-25 minutes, or until the surface is golden and the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
This shape of loaf is amenable to all of our mixes so have fun and create some unique, beautiful breads! Prep time includes the rise.
